I use a dynamic approach, working with you
in partnership, to bring about cohesion between body, mind
and spiritual functioning. The process enables you to work
through patterns, beliefs and behaviors that keep you stuck;
and supports you in opening to greater aspects of the Self.
Intellectual Understanding of your situation is necessary
as a first step. It provides you with the lay of the land,
but it cannot move you through your situation. It is in slowly
opening to deeper subconscious layers that form the core of
the situation and in addressing the emotional, physical and
spiritual aspects that momentum begins to build, allowing
for movement to occur naturally.
There is no one particular way that works
for all. Everyone is so different in what their needs are
and in what works for them. The sessions are tailored to meet
your particular needs and requirements. You may wish space
to share what you have been carrying for so long, or perhaps
enjoy honest, caring, insightful and intuitive feedback and
communication. Or you may wish to go really deeply into carefully
exploring your inner terrain, and there are many ways to do
that.
What really matters most is that we follow
and respect your own internal flow. In that way, the work
progresses according to the innate wisdom of your unconscious.
The unconscious is a lot smarter than the conscious mind.
It knows exactly where you need to go. As a result, new ways
of seeing your self will emerge to support your moving forward
in ways that seem almost effortless.
Emotional understanding opens you to expression of previously
unacknowledged feelings or awareness. Finding creative ways
to express these energies allows breathing room for other,
more uplifting feelings to manifest.
Learning to trust and safely express your
feelings is key. This will allow you to feel clearer inside
and give you a real sense of control. Underneath anger is
power, and underneath power is love. When anger is used in
the service of love, it becomes a powerful motivating force
for growth and healing. You will begin to grow through honoring
all of your feelings and directing them in a loving and powerful
way.
Physical understanding may include
manifestation of dis-ease. Intense emotions, painful situations
or memories that are not acknowledged or adequately dealt
with on an emotional or verbal level can lead to difficulties
in the emotional, mental, spiritual, or physical bodies and
in the functioning of the organs. This can be worked with
through art therapy, hypnotic work or dialogue processes.
Opening to what the symptoms are expressing can lead back
to homeostasis as well as to greater states of being.
Sometimes illness has a story to tell that
is important for healing. The illness may be a result of bottled-up
feelings that lacked an external outlet. There is the potential
for much transformation in healing the mind, for the mind
is the builder of the body.
You can access and unfold the meaningful
flow of life, which symptoms express. You can communicate
with your symptoms and uncover the messages they have for
you. Working with your health challenge can be a potentially
life-renewing, creative process.
Physical understanding may also include
body energetics: the quality of your voice, how you hold your
body, or how you dress or carry yourself. These may reflect
some of the ways in which you keep tied to old patterns, beliefs
and needs, and keep emotionally restricted. These issues are
explored and addressed, according to the need of each client.
It is easy to get bogged down in the smaller picture fear
has created. Developing a perspective based on a larger picture
as well, by putting your problem into context, can help you
find the meaning as well as part of the solution to your problem.
Both levels need to be attended to, each in their own time
frame.
Healing emotionally, physically and spiritually
entails approaching what is unlike love in your own circumstances
and in your being. By making friends with all parts of the
self, these parts can transform and help you manifest the
life you were meant to live and become the person you were
meant to be.
We are spiritual beings in human bodies
and are born with a mission and a purpose. Regardless of the
situation we have been born into, we are here to learn and
grow through it. Its not so much about the deck of cards
youve been dealt, but how you work with the deck youve
been given. It is about becoming an alchemist in your life,
by turning garbage into compost. Everything can be used as
a vehicle for awakening. Trauma is one of the vehicles through
which healers and shamans are born. The pain you move through
can bring you to new directions, understandings, talents,
deeper levels of being, and new life.
